최근에 Toastmasters에 참가하였다.우리 모임의 인원은 10명정도로 외국인이 절반 이상을 차지 하고 있다.이 때문에 매우 다양한 표현들을 듣고 배울 수 있다.각설하고, 내가 답답했던 표현들은 다음과 같다.- 억압하다/제제하다: suppress , be controlled by, etcsuppress the rights and liberties.most people are controlled by the authorities, stripped of their rights, and are suppressed.suppresses their right to express their religious beliefs.- 왜곡하다: distort, twist, pervertThe historian sometimes distorted the facts.
He twisted the truth I had spoken.
